The peacock screen, 2021
The Peacock screen was a private commission for a house in Fordell, Whanganui. The screen encloses an outdoor dining area on one side to provide protection from the wind, some privacy and a focal point for the dining area. The work reflects the behaviour of wild peacocks in the clients orchard and their favourite artwork, Whistlers ‘Peacock Room’.
Made during July/August 2021 and installed in August 2021. Screen is 2700 x 2100 x 10.38mm laminate glass, mural engraved.
