Guildford cathedral; musician angel remake 2026

In January 2024, a panel in one of Guildford Cathedrals Musician Angel doors by John Hutton was irreparably damaged. Their architect, John Bailey of Thomas Ford & Partners sought a repairer through the Contemporary Glass Society, and I answered their call. I did a site visit in October that year, and started my detective work to recreate the original panel. Finished in March 2026, the panel was freighted back to the Cathedral, and is being installed and blessed soon.
